Chichén Itzá – another Cancun Day Trip
Chichén Itzá is a historic novelty. It is full of ancient Mayan ruins and one of the best know sites. It is about 3 hours from Cancun. As the most popular architectural site on the Yucatan Peninsula, there are many tours that make the trek to Chichén Itzá. Of course, if you’re confident in your navigation and driving skills, it’s always fun to rent a car. When taking scenic trips, I prefer a convertible.
Isla Mujeres
Isla Mujeres has a literal translation of the “Island of Woman”. The island sits just off the northern end of the Yucatan Penisula and it’s a must see trip if you’re visiting Cancun for more than 3 days and you’ve never visited.
